Himachal Pradesh is blessed with raw natural beauty and also places that are perfect for a family getaway. It has many mountain peaks and lush green forests, which have many hiking and trekking trails for you to indulge in and be closer to nature.
One of Himachal Pradesh’s gems is Spiti Valley, which is one of the most beautiful valleys in India and the world. The place is filled with vast barren landscapes, surreal high-altitude lakes, snow-covered mountain peaks, beautiful Buddhist monasteries, and an insight into a different life and culture of the Spitian people.
Our 7 nights 8 days Dazzling Spiti Valley Tour aims to showcase the real beauty of Spiti so that you can take in every essence of the place.
We start from the queen of hill cities, Shimla. Shimla is also the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla formerly acted as the summer capital of British India. The colonial architecture, beautiful mountains, and dense forests are some of the highlights of Shimla, which makes it a top tourist destination.
The last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border is Chitkul, around 569 kilometers from Delhi and 24 kilometers from Sangla, and is famous for its sunsets, potatoes, apples, and the incredible hospitality of the locals.
While going to Kalpa, you will catch a glimpse of Kinner Kailash peak, standing tall and mighty at 7500+ ft. While in Kalpa, explore Kalpa Monastery, Roghi suicide point, and Reckong Peo to shop at the local markets.
We head off to Kaza, which is the gateway to Hikkim, which houses the highest Post Office in the world, and you may send a letter to a dear one from there if you like. You should also stop at the Key monastery, which is 12 KM from Kaza. Along with its historical importance, the Tibetan monastery provides a panoramic view. At Langza, get ready to be awed by the massive Golden Buddha statue, which overlooks Langza. Komic is one of the highest motorable villages in the world, which makes it a one-of-a-kind location.
Other notable locations include Tabo, which houses a 1000-year-old monastery, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gue Village brings back the memories of the Hollywood movie “The Mummy” as Gue has real-life remains of a mummy that date back 500 years.
Nako is a small village near the border of India and Tibet. The place is famous for its lake and a 1000-year-old monastery. You can experience calm and serene surroundings at this place.
Chandratal Lake is one of the most beautiful high-altitude saline lakes in the world at an altitude of 4300 m. The lake is surrounded by lofty mountain peaks, and the lake’s strikingly clear greenish-blue water is sure to take your heart away.
Join this Spiti adventure for dramatic valleys, peaceful monasteries, remote villages, and breathtaking Himalayan views.
