Picture yourself standing in front of a place where you can see different shades of earth and feel how geology has played an important role in forming something that is such a beauty to hold. This 5 nights 6 days Mauritius package from India is made to show you the beauty of this island in its most raw and immense form. So if you are planning to visit Mauritius this year, make sure you align your travel dates to this itinerary, because this one covers it all.
Most Mauritius packages either rush through everything in 4 days or pad out the trip with nothing to do. This itinerary does neither. Six days gives you enough time to actually absorb what you are seeing, whether that is standing at the edge of a dormant volcanic crater, tasting Dhol Puri at a local bazaar, or spending a full afternoon doing nothing but floating in the turquoise lagoon of Île aux Cerfs.
The package covers three distinct sides of Mauritius: The Historical North, The Spiritual and Geological South, and The Sun and Sea East Coast. Each day has its own character, and together they give you a complete picture of the island.
Day 1 is reserved for your arrival in Mauritius. After checking into the Constance Belle Mare Plage hotel, unwind at your own pace or step out to explore the charming local streets nearby. The day is completely open, whether you choose to relax and recharge or begin discovering the island’s vibrant surroundings.
The North Island Tour on day 2 of this Mauritius trip takes you through the colonial and cultural heart of Mauritius. Start with the visit to the backbone of the country, The Sugar Museum, which is the reason for flourishing Mauritius.
Fort Adelaide aka Citadel Fort gives you a panoramic view of Port Louis from above, which is a good way to get a feel for the city before diving into it. The drive through Port Louis covers China Town, the Mosque, Catholic Church, High Court Building, and some of the most well-preserved French colonial architecture on the island.
A Kuan Fu tea tasting adds a quieter, more refined moment to the day before the Dhol Puri stop at the local bazaar, which is the complete opposite of refined but equally enjoyable. Visit Apravasi Ghat, to understand how indentured labours from countries like India, China arrived on the island to work here.
Next up is Caudan Waterfront wraps up the afternoon with shopping and harbour views, and Château de Labourdonnais closes the day with a juice and rum tasting in beautiful surroundings.
The South Island Tour the next day, is where the landscape changes completely. Grand Bassin or Ganga Talao, is the most sacred Hindu site in Mauritius. It is a crater lake inside a forest, spiritually connected to the River Ganges according to local belief, and the 108 ft Lord Shiva statue standing beside it is one of the most amazing sights on the island.
Next stop is at The Valley of Colours, also known as La Vallée des Couleurs Nature Park . Here you can see the 23 naturally occurring shades of earth that were formed through volcanic activity over millions of years. There are plenty of enthralling activities like the zipline, Nepalese bridge, and jeep ride available here, with a free couple photo souvenir when you opt for any activity.
Then, you need to get a souvenir, and for that you may visit the Floreal. If you are interested in ships and want a souvenir, visit the Model Ship Factory and see how craftsmen make replicas of ships here. The detailing will bow your minds away. To have the best view of the city, move towards the viewpoint of Trou aux Cerfs, which is a crater of dormant volcano. It gives 360-degree views of the entire island.
The next day is leisure day. The leisure day is a breather, and a good one to use well. Mauritius has a lot going on beyond the guided tours. If you wish, you may head to Grand Baie for some of the best shopping on the island. If you are traveling as a couple, a spa day is worth considering, the island has some genuinely good wellness options. For those who want to stay active, horse riding on the beach, quad biking through sugar cane fields, or a dolphin watching excursion off the west coast are all popular choices. The day is yours, use it however it makes sense for your group.
The next day is reserved for the Sun, Spa and Sea Discovery Tour. You will be driven to the east coast to enjoy optional water activities at Belle mare Plage. If you are interested in some adrenaline rush, you may indulge in some activities, if not you can just simply relax.
Then, transfer to Île aux Cerfs. It is the one place most travelers end up talking about the most. A speedboat takes you to this island off the east coast, it is 87 hectares of untouched land with white sand beaches and turquoise lagoons. Water sports, snorkeling, a beachside meal, and a waterfall visit are all part of the day. Come back, and sleep for the final night in this 6 Days Mauritius package.
Next day is the departure day. Our representative will transfer you back to your hotel and you depart from Mauritius carrying a lot of memories!

Mauritius has a tropical climate throughout the year. The months between May and December are generally the most comfortable. They are warm, dry, and good for water activities. January to March is the cyclone season. Travel is still possible during this time, but it is worth staying updated on weather conditions before and during the trip.
